When trying to create a recovery drive on windows I've faced the error of "Some required files are missing" When trying to run the process. This is a step by step on how I fixed the issue on windows 11
Commands I've used and what did they do (To be used in the CMD as an administrator)
reagentc /info
this gave me the status of the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), To try to see Where the problem is. As you can see in the video the recovery environment was disabled and there was no location for the WinRE. So there's no wonder the recovery process failed with missing files, Windows doesn't know where they are so I've used
dir /a /s c:\winre.wim
To search the entire C directory for the missing file maybe it's still on the system in my case it was and it showed me the exact location (c:\Recovery\Winre.wim), But when trying to get to that location I get access denied.
And the video I show how to solve that problem, Now I went back to the cmd and told Windows 11 where the file is
reagentc /setreimage /path C:\recovery\WindowsRE
After the operation was successful I enabled the cooling Windows Recovery Environment
reagentc /enable
Wait for the operation to be successful. Now go back to search bar and type
Create recovery drive
Follow the steps and you'll see this time it will work. as now Windows know where the files its looking for it's looking for are.
