If you don't know the show, this song is about George Washington stepping down as president of the USA, and Alexander Hamilton writing a speech for it. The 2nd half of the song features words form the actual speech spoken by Hamilton and sung by Washington, although in real life George Washington didn't sing it (not in public anyway. I bet he sung it in the bath)
