"After the battle of Prokhorovka on July 12th, the frontline stabilized for a brief time while the Germans and Soviets regrouped. As the Germans withdrew from the main battle area, the Soviet 18th, 20th and 2th Tank Corps managed to encircle a small element of the German 1st Panzer Division.
The objective: Four platoons of T-34 tanks will advance with us to the southwest along the railroad tracks. Our task is to recapture Oktyabyrskiy State Farm, advance across hill 252.2, and move into Stalynsk."
