Adapt a Usability Interview Script for the Project and Fix Broken Wiki Links
This episode piggy-backs off of a previous episode where we set up a Wiki page for the project with an overview of the project and a couple of pages for user experience interviews. The previous episode focused more on a questionnaire about the user persona that we are designing for. This episode will focus specifically on adapting a model usability interview script from Steve Krug and adapting it to our (mostly remote) interview use case.
We start by fixing some incorrect wiki page assignments and broken links. Unlike the Markdown files in our source control for the project, the link to the wiki pages will actually change if you rename the page, potentially breaking links on other wiki pages. We rename our intended home page to Home and after moving the content, delete the duplicate home page.
Then we take the usability test script from Rocket Surgery Made Easy by Steve Krug and adapt it into Markdown for our wiki page. We also adapt it for the fact that we won't have an observation room and we are intending to release (at least some) interviews as video episodes in this series.
We wrap up by closing the GitHub issue and looking ahead to future videos.
