Pure CSS: Hover Card Effect
Create a hover card using pure, simple, and familiar CSS. The process uses one line of code, where a holding container targets another internally nested container via the hover pseudo class. When a user hovers over the container, the internal card's properties are changed (opacity, height, colours etc), depending on which properties you want to target. Hover cards are great space savers and, with some simple CSS, can offer powerful user-experiences. The code snippet for this tutorial is in the comments.
