A Smart Home wouldn't be complete without a Smart Security System. There are a couple good options for building an Alarm System with Home Assistant. If you have an existing system, with wired sensors you can make use of those with an alarm bridge, such as Konnected. Or, if you're starting from scratch and need a wireless option the Sonoff RF Bridge is a good choice.

Getting your alarm setup in Home Assistant allows you to determine what actions will occur when the alarm is triggered. These can include lights, sounds, spoken warnings, and notifications sent to you or someone else.
