This was at a level 1 USPSA match from a few months ago. This was the 2nd stage that I shot that day.
I am shooting a CZ 75 DA with safety. I start safety off, hammer down. What I do to lower the hammer after chambering a round is:
1) Pinch the hammer with my weak hand thumb and index finger
2) Pull the trigger completely (with strong hand)
3) Slowly lower hammer with weak hand
4) Release trigger
It's hard to see in the video but I think what happened was simply that I started pulling the trigger (step 2) a bit too soon before I fully pinched the hammer (step 1).
I made the mistake of getting a mere 3 hours of sleep before the match then consuming a lot of caffeine. My mental faculties were not all there.
I learned some lessons.
