Mentor EM 10 Aluminum Wheel Beadseat App
In this installment, we look at using the Mentor EM Beadseat app to inspect an aluminum aircraft wheel for cracks in the bead seat area. We use a specially built probe that conforms to the bead seat profile of the wheel, and review how touch gestures and the recording features of the Mentor simplify this inspection and lessen the need for the inspector to keep a close eye on the Lissajous view while scanning.
