If you are mixing multiple instruments with a similar frequency range, you can let cubase show two spectrums at the same time. Click on the E on one of the channels in the inspector, in order to view channel settings. Now you can see the Equalizer of the selected channel. Click in the field above the EQ and select the other track you want to view the eq of.
Now, the other track is also shown in a different color but the same window. You can switch between both EQs by clicking on the field, which gives you the option to make new adjustments to the other track's eq while seeing what is going on in the original track.
