Climate change is testing Nepal’s remote western provinces, as flash flooding, landslides, droughts, pest outbreaks and forest fires threaten clean water, food security and essential infrastructure.
A UK Aid funded programme is helping communities adapt, by providing technical know-how and financial aid to climate resilience projects and strengthening government financial, planning and governance systems.
This is the Nepal Climate Change Support Programme, NCCSP a £23M, five-year initiative funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
