Here's how I made a Telecaster electric guitar, built from scratch. This was a DIY project for me, and it's a great first electric guitar build. The tele body is made from 100 Year old Pine lumber which was reclaimed from a building from the 1920's.
I used a modest number of tools, including a hand plane, palm sander, scroll saw, trim router and LOTS of sandpaper!
A CNC makes an appearance, but I only used it to drill holes manually. I would have used a hand drill, but I wanted them to be square, straight and perfectly aligned.
Tuners are Gotoh Vintage style.
The neck is a 10 year old NOS Warmoth brand, 7.5" radius with 6105 frets and a rosewood fretboard.
