Jiva is solving for equality in agriculture to improve farmers' livelihoods
Jiva was founded in 2020 as a technology-enabled platform and mobile app to improve the livelihoods of the 525 million smallholder farmers who grow 70% of the region's food. Jiva offers free personalised agronomic advice, extends cash advances for farm inputs, sells and delivers high-quality inputs, and purchases crops at harvest.
By reducing information asymmetry for millions of Indian and Indonesian farmers, Jiva helps to increase crop yield by up to 50%, lower agricultural inputs by up to 20% and improves profitability by 25%. Now, farmers get access to adequate financing, agronomic advisory services, and a fair market to sell crops.
