Initialized the disk(empty/fresh) as MBR and GPT
MBR/GPT is record store on Harddisk , contains information of
paritions, partition size, location
OS and bootloader location
MBR - Master Boot Record
-4 Primary partition
-3 primary or 1 Extended
-in extended we create no of Logical partitions
-Partition size upto 2TB
GTP - GUID Partition Table
-128 Primary partition
-no extended and no logical
-Partition Size more than 2TB and max 18EB

-Install OS
-Create simple partition/ simple volume
Dynamic Disk
-We convert Basic disk to Dynamic disk without loss of data
-we cant convert Dynamic disk to basic disk without loss of data
-For creating volumes -spanned, stipped, mirror and raid 5 volumes
-combining two or more disk into one volume
-we cant install OS
