Vi And Caitlyn Acquires Hextech Weapons To Kill Jinx And Avenge The Deaths Of Their People
Arcane season 2 begins with a massive explosion and attacks that recently happened at piltover. This attack is caused by jinx, whose aim is to make piltover pay for the it's history of injustices to the under city. At the start of this episode, we saw how so many council members who lost their lives from jinx attack. jayce sees his best friend Victor half dead from the attack, and rushes him to the lab to do his best to revive him. The next morning begins with a burial ceremony of those council members and people in piltover who lost their lives. We see Caitlyn Kiramman mourning at her mother's grave as her mother was among the victims. Mel consoles her saying how her mother was a good friend to her, and doesn't know how they are going to face this crisis without her. Councillor salo who is now crippled from the attack doesn't want the fairytale of peace anymore and wants war. Their people are scared and suffering, they need to know that their leaders have the situation under control, so councillor salo believes the only way to settle this matter is by using unprecedented show of force. He wants them to flood the under city with enforcers armed with hextech weapons, but Caitlyn doesn't agree to this idea because there are innocent people in the under city who will be caught in the cross fire. Mel also agrees with her because if councillor salo plan is followed, they are going to risk unifying the people of the under city against them. Since this attack was done by one person, jinx, Mel wants them to pin the attack on only jinx and post a reward too substantial to ignore to anyone who captures jinx. The other council members feels it's a risk they cannot take. Through voting, they decided to go with salo plan which is by invading the under city. Mel decided to join the plan in the city attack, and wins a vote in the council of them not using hextech to attack the city, for such dangerous weapon, using that should be their final resort. Caitlyn goes back to her mother's grave where she reunites with her father. Caitlyn is filled with regrets because she once had the opportunity to kill jinx but she didn't and now that cost her her mother's life. Her dad handed her their family fortune called the kiramman key, which was what her mom left for her before she died. Vi visit Caitlyn who runs to her arms in tears. Vi opens up that she was actually right, the powder she once knew is gone. Vi wants to make this right, she wants Caitlyn to get jayce to fix her gauntlet so she can kill jinx herself but Caitlyn doesn't want to involve herself in a reckless plan anymore. She reveals that the enforcers are going after jinx and she's going with them. She gives vi the enforcers badge wanting her to join the enforcers but vi doesn't want to. How can she join the enforcers, who are same people she watched kill her parents. Jayce on the other hand is scared that he is going to loose his best friend. He placed victor inside the hexcore which is the only thing that is actually keeping him alive. Mel let's him know that Caitlyn is in piltover and advices he should go see her because the poor girl is in so much pain. Jayce goes to see her and she talks about how she really wants to tear jinx to pieces.
