A recreation of Pac-Man built in The Games Factory, one that certainly looks the part at first glance! Authentic arcade presentation, demos, high scores, even solid maze-moving control. None of this stodgy default engine movement or dodgy freeware-looking graphics, this looks the biz!
At least, unless you're a little more Pac-inclined, in which case there's a lot of quirks here. The screen-wrapping tunnels have been removed, as have the bonus fruit items. The timer for the power pellet counts down even during the 'pause' after eating a ghost, so you're on a tighter time limit than usual. Dying will also totally reset the stage, undoing all your progress.
Perhaps most egregiously, the ghosts don't follow reactive patterns or parameters -- they literally follow a set path, and never deviate from it. Eating a ghost will instantly respawn them in the ghost pen (no waiting for their eyes to travel home!) and also reset their path, so if you keep tabs on how they move, you can guarantee where their next moves will be. Pinky will exit the pen quicker after a few levels, and it's possible their movements are slightly sped up, but otherwise I didn't notice any change in tactics as the levels go on.
The game is endless and resets to frame 15 after the final intermission (around the 12 minute mark).
