Popular machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensowFlow are now able to run smoothly on AMD GPUs thanks to recent progress in ROCm. This is a pretty big deal for the artificial intelligence and machine learning industry because for years Nvidia had a stranglehold on this market. In this video I do a general overview to prove how well ROCm actually works with a variety of deep learning applications including YOLO object detection, stable diffusion, and chatbots similar to ChatGPT. I also spend some time ranting about AGI and the media's ridiculous take on it (fear mongering as usual).
