Four Favorites with film composer and musician Warren Ellis. Ellis is a member of The Dirty Three and The Bad Seeds and frequently collaborates with Nick Cave. Together, they have composed scores for films including Blonde, Hell or High Water, The Road, Mustang and more.
Ellis is also the co-founder of Ellis Park, an animal sanctuary in Sumatra which is the subject of a new documentary by Justin Kurzel (Nitram, Snowtown). Ellis Park premiered at @melbfilmfest’s Music on Film gala, and screens again on August 16, 17 and 24 during the Melbourne International Film Festival.
