I love you.
Three of the most powerful words anyone can say to someone else. And words I've heard said to me many, many times before but empty. Relationships who promised they loved me. Friends who swore I meant the world to them and they loved me. And in the end, they all meant nothing. They were just empty words.
But then Patrick came into my life.
And he changed those words.
He put weight into them. I felt his love in every single word.
To be so genuinely loved by my partner, for the first time in my life, I didn't know how to feel.
Part of me doubted it. Part of me felt like it was only a matter of time before he got what he wanted and then left me too.
But he didn't leave me.
And I don't think he ever would.
He loves me, and I love him.
And even though we may be 5000 miles apart, being able to look into those eyes, and see him beyond a screen is a feeling I can't put into words. I love him with all my heart and soul.
