In this demo we'll take several inputs: a DGN file for a construction site project boundary, E57 point cloud files, and ECW image files. We'll use FME Workbench to extract colors from rasters and apply them to point clouds, then send the output to the POD point cloud format. You'll see how to scale colors to meet the output format's required standard. Then, for easy sharing, we'll generate a surface from the point cloud, put a clipped raster image onto the surface, and write it to a 3D PDF.
Transformers used: PointCloudCombiner, Bufferer, PointCloudOnRasterComponentSetter, Clipper, PointCloudColorScaler, TINGenerator, AppearanceSetter, Scaler
Readers and writers used: Bentley MicroStation Design (V8) reader, ASTM E57 reader, ER Mapper ECW reader, Pointools POD writer, Adobe 3D PDF writer
