In this video we look at how to create the Off-Grid Rhythmic Effect played by the Synth Chords in ODESZA’s, The Last Goodbye, using Ableton Live's library of devices. We will also create the Syncopated Rhythm that the chords fall into when the Drum Groove begins. Then we will have a look at how to put the Drum Beat together and create the drum sounds using Ableton's Kick and Clap Drum Synth devices and Drum Rack. We'll look at how to create a Bass Line from the Chord Midi and put the sound together using Ableton's Analog and Effects. We'll look at how to create a Lead Synth Melody by highlighting the top notes of the chords using Ableton's Wavetable Synthesizer and Reverb and Delay Effects. Lastly, we'll look at how to create a Riser and Faller Effect to accentuate the chord progression using the White Noise Generator of Ableton's Analog Synth.
