Yo great news recently surfaced as it was revealed that Square Enix has finally confirmed that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available on the PlayStation 4 on October 11 in a new 20 Year Celebration edition. This version of the game will feature "a completely new story chapter entitled Blood Ties."
What cool is that there are more new content such as a new co-op Endurance gameplay, PlayStation VR support for the new Blood Ties chapter, all previously released DLC, extra outfits, weapons, and Expedition Cards. And for all the special collectors out there, there will also be A limited edition art book included.
Xbox One and PC owners are also going to get the Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration edition with all the new content but won't include VR support.
If you got the season pass for the Xbox One and PC you will receive this new content for free. The season pass will be updated to include this content going forward. A season pass does not exist for PS4 as all the extra content is included in the new version of the game.
