Zone Refining
This technique is based on the standard that the impurities are more soluble in the melt than in the sold of the melt. A circle mobile heater is fixed at one end of a rod of the impure metal. The molten zone moves along with the header which moves forward. Impurity to get concentration, this method is very useful for producing semiconductor and other metals of very high purity.
