In this tutorial I'll be addressing a bug that currently exists in version 1.3.2 of Inkscape where the stroke-to-path function creates a broken path where it looks like a triangle has been cut out of the corner. A simple workaround for this is to select the path and "reverse" it (Path, Reverse Path) before converting it to a stroke.
