Building a nation that can compete with the rest of the world is a big task. But, if we want to achieve this goal, we have to start with our students. Codespot’s latest initiative in achieving this goal starts at Dr. N. G. P. College in Coimbatore, where we took our industry leaders to meet with some of the brightest young minds.
The topic of the day was critical thinking, something that is crucial if you want to make efficient and informed decisions as a citizen and professional working in the industry.
It was a one-day workshop where the team went all hands on deck to interact with the students, giving them the importance of fostering curiosity, skepticism, and humility.
We had a great time not only with the students but also with the staff there who greeted us with mementos and were eager to learn what the industry is like.
There is often a big disconnect between academia and the industry, they understood that and were determined to change that for their students.
Our visit became even more fruitful during the interactive session with the students. They were curious, beaming with potential, and had a thirst to find out what possibilities await them in the future and how we could help them.
We were also able to handpick a few students that performed extremely well and spoke with them about further working with us for skill development and possibly even an opportunity to get on board with us.
