Cine lenses definitely have their place in the video world, in fact I'd argue that they're one of the most important pieces of gear to own if you're doing larger budget productions.
The issue is, not many people are doing larger scale productions, and the reality is that most of us are solo shooters and are making short and snappy content for online distribution. So, I wanted to compare the footage from the Panasonic S 35mm F1.8 Prime lens to the footage from the Irix 30mm T1.5 cine lens to see whether you could actually tell the difference.
I was so impressed with how well the Lumix 35mm F1.8 performed with the Panasonic S5ii, and to be completely honest with you, I couldn't tell too much of a difference at all.
