As many of you asked, here is a quick ISO test with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.
This is not a scientific, in-depth, kind of test but rather just me going through the whole range of the camera’s ISO.
I am sure someone will do one that is much more complex but thought it might be useful to see how the camera performs when you need to up the ISO without necessarily changing the aperture or shutter in really dark conditions.
This was shot in complete darkness with just one candle as the source of light.
You can clearly see how the dynamic range ‘resets’ itself at 1250 and how clean the image is compare to let’s say 1000.
I have applied a LUT (Blackmagic Pocket 4k Film to Extended Video) to see how it would look if graded.
Hopefully Youtube’s compression doesn’t affect the footage too much.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.
Used my Canon lenses as a ‘subject’ since I had nothing else and no-one else haha.
Will do more tests in the coming days / weeks such as 120fps etc.
Lens used: Lumix 12-35mm 2.8 at 2.8, in Film (log)
Shot in UHD Prores 422, at 23.98.
