MEXICO (CLAUDIO VILLA – CETRA 1957)
Tra le canzoni di maggior successo del Reuccio, Claudio Villa, bisogna includere anche “MESSICO” un brano composto in lingua Francese da Francis Lopez su versi di Raymond Vincy tratto dall’operetta “Le chanteur de Mexico” e poi colonna sonora dell’omonimo film del 1951 interpretato da Luis Mariano che ne fu il primo esecutore. Il brano, con i versi in italiano di Mario Panzeri, fu inciso da Rino Salviati per la Durium nel Luglio 1957 accompagnato dalla sua chitarra. Villa l’incise per la CETRA il 21 dicembre 1957 in versione bilingue italiano e francese. 78 giri, AC 3313, retro “La più bella del mondo”, Orchestra diretta da Ovidio Sarra, poi trasferita su 45 giri nel 1958 SP 424. È una versione stupenda. Da quel momento “Messico” fu accomunata alla voce ed ai virtuosismi di Villa che la incise altre tre volte sempre per la CETRA. Nel 1958 (Orchestra Fragna), nel 1962 (Orchestra Monti) e nel 1968 (Orchestra Chiaramello). Ciascuna di queste altre versioni ha poi un suo fascino. Grande Villa!!
