Marco Herling, MD, University of Leipzig, Leipzig, Germany, discusses the pathogenesis of chronic natural killer large granular lymphocyte (NK-LGL) leukemia, commenting on the molecular landscape of this disease. Dr Herling explains that this disease is characterized by constitutive JAK/STAT signaling, with a large proportion of patients carrying mutations in TET2 or STAT3, thereby suggesting this pathway as a potential therapeutic target. This interview took place at the European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress 2022 held in Vienna, Austria.
