this inadvertently became art for @RexAlopex lol in many indigenous cultures, totems were used as a kind of emblem for groups of people like clans or tribes among other things. in Rex's lore (which is inspired by his indigenous roots) he becomes the last to be blessed by the spirit of the arctic fox and receives this totem.
