Synchromesh Gearbox Explained: Construction, Working Principle, Power Transmission Flow, Advantages
Function of this gearbox is to equalize speed of gear on engine shaft (or shaft on clutch gear) and gearbox output shaft which are engaged smoothly even on high rotational speed without any gear clash, this gearbox similar to constant mesh gearbox, synchromesh device is used instead of dog, this synchromesh device equalize speed by friction, with this gearbox we can obtained Low gear, reverse gear, second gear and direct gear as shown in above video.
