Multiphase Flow Simulation of Pump Station performed in HELYX® - Rendered Results
Volume of Fluid (VOF) simulation of a waste water pump station using ENGYS' own open-source two-phase flow solver. Computational mesh created in HELYX using automatic meshing technology developed by ENGYS. Video shows the surface vortex forming near the pump's suction pipe. Results have been successfully compared to available experimental data for validation purposes. Results rendered with Blender.
