In Bangladesh, over 600 people including political opponents, lawyers and journalists have been abducted by the regime since 2009, according to Human Rights Watch. But since the fall of longtime leader Sheikh Hasina earlier this month, their families have new hope for their release. The interim government has pledged to fully investigate forced disappearances and three people have already been freed. FRANCE 24’s special correspondents met one of those recently freed, as well as with those fighting to free others.
