★ 🇨🇭 Huttwil - Ramsei Cab Ride, Switzerland [03.07.2004] Führerstandsmitfahrt
The Huttwil - Ramsei line was part of the Vereinigte-Huttwil-Bahnen network, which was taken over by "Regionalverkehr Mittelland" on the 1st of January, 1997. The line connects the two lines Burgdorf to Langnau im Emmental and Langenthal to Wolhusen. In December 2004, passenger traffic between Affoltern-Weier and Huttwil was discontinued, likewise in December 2009 between Affoltern-Weier and Sumiswald-Grünen. Andreas Perren filmed this cab ride with an old camera and saved it on a non-digital storage medium. The film recording therefore does not meet today's quality standards, but the film ride is historically very valuable. Even though there is no longer any passenger traffic between Huttwil and Sumiswald-Grünen, the Emmental Museum Railway runs public steam trains several times a year.
