Habits are behaviours everyone has. Sometimes habits can be something positive - like sleeping early or eating healthily. But a lot of our habits are probably not so good for us (like biting our nails).
Addictions are very much like habits but extremely intense and very difficult to stop. Many people find it tricky to recognise they are actually addicted to something. It can take a lot of support and help to break these addictive behaviours.
It's important we reflect on our own behaviours and think about the actions we take. Do all our behaviours make us feel well? Do we have control over our actions?
If you feel like you have a habit (or even addiction) that you want to change, it's important you speak to a trusted adult for support.
