Sencha - Building Web Applications with Ext JS 7.6 (Alfasoft Online Developer Day 2022)
Sencha Ext JS 7.6 gives us an amazing suite of tools to build large-scale web applications quickly and reliably.
In this session I will introduce the Ext JS framework and give an overview of what it is, where it fits in the current landscape and how it enables us to build fast, maintainable web applications right out of the box.
We'll take a closer look at some of the most compelling features of the framework and do some demos to show what it is capable of.
Questions:
1. What is the difference between the Professional and Enterprise edition?
It comes down to advance tools. Both versions include the core Ext JS sdk, and several tools like Sencha themer and sencha architect; However, only the Enterprise license include Sencha Tester, Inspector, and advanced components like: the pivot grid, the calendar component, the ability to perform data export, and the D3 Adapter for data visualization.
2. Which backend technologies can Ext JS connect to?
Ext JS is back end agnostic, meaning that as long as you can get an AJAX or REST response from the backend, you can use the technology that better suits your current work stack.
3. Is there a tutorial or any place that you would recommend me to start with?
Yes, we have several tutorials at our docs website (docs.sencha.com). I recommend to start with our music video preview player, since it is a simple tutorial that explains how to do the basics.
