How to Lock and Unlock Cells in Excel
Locking and Unlocking cells, rows or columns in Microsoft Excel is easy. First select the cells you wish to lock and select format cells. Under the protection tab, you can protect the cells by choosing the lock checkbox. Don't forget to hit Protect Sheet in the review tab. Unlocking the cells is the same process, but by unchecking the locked checkbox. This method works in Microsoft Excel 365, 2021, 2019, 2016 and 2013.
