If you're having issues with notifications on iOS 16 or your new iPhone, watch this video to learn how to fix notifications on your iPhone. There's a new feature called "Display As" in "Settings" and then "Notifications" where you can choose "Count", "Stack", or "List". You'll probably want "List" as it's most like previous versions of iOS like iOS 15, iOS 14, etc. "Count" and "Stack" are new notifications and can be harder to see. You also sometimes have to scroll up on the home screen to get your notifications on iOS 16 iPhones (and probably iOS 17 as well unless they re-work how notifications work on iOS 17).
