Xilonen will be released as the latest playable character in version 5.1. She is a 5-star Geo sword user, and looking at her kit so far, she's a must-pull unit. If you're looking for an excellent support unit like Kazuha, you should totally go for her. She is as good as Kazuha, if not better. She has a ton of amazing abilities in her kit, including great exploration skills, healing, and resistance shred, making her a great support unit. Not only that, but she also seems to be a good sub-DPS unit. And not just utility-wise, her gameplay looks really fun as well, and I'm pretty sure she'll make your exploration time really entertaining.
Moving on to the banners! We already know that Xilonen will be the only new 5-star character releasing in version 5.1, so she'll definitely get her banner. As for the reruns, Chiori, Nahida, and Hu Tao are expected to get theirs. To be more precise, Xilonen and Chiori will appear in phase one banners, which will go live with the 5.1 update on October 9th, whereas Nahida and Hu Tao will appear in phase two banners, which are expected to begin on October 29th.
Unsurprisingly, version 5.1 will feature an Archon banner, and Nahida is expected to get her third rerun in the second phase. She is the best Dendro character in the game, and those who don't have her should definitely start saving their primogems because she is an excellent unit. I'd be lying if I said I didn’t expect her in 5.1, because if you look at the main event of version 5.1, which is the Sabzeruz Festival, you can easily say Nahida was bound to get a rerun.
However, I didn’t expect Chiori to rerun before Wriothesley and Xianyun. Chiori was released in version 4.5, whereas Wriothesley and Xianyun were released in versions 4.1 and 4.4. So if Chiori is getting a rerun before them, it means Wriothesley’s banner has been pushed again, and Xianyun will probably appear in version 5.3 during the Lantern Rite Festival. Lastly, Hu Tao is getting her fourth rerun, which is both good and bad. Shenhe is now the most awaited character in Genshin Impact’s history without getting a rerun for 13 patches straight, which is almost a year and a half.
Acts III and IV of Natlan’s Archon quest will be available in the next patch, and after looking at the voiceline count, new characters like Ifa, Xbalanque, Citlali, and Xilonen are expected to appear.
Xilonen is a new 5-star character, so she’ll obviously get her story quest, and that’s pretty much it for the quests and events. Now, moving on to the primogem count. Compared to the current version 5.0, the next version will give significantly fewer primogems.
As I said, there won’t be any map expansion in version 5.1, so we won’t get any primogems from exploration. But 5.1 will add some new quests, and despite being a filler update, 5.1 will feature Acts III & IV of Natlan’s Archon quest. As announced by the developers during the 5.0 live stream program, they will give us 500 primogems for completing the Archon quests. So we can get around 1,035 primogems from world quests and the Archon quest. And yes, we will get 2 Intertwined Fates as well.
Moving on to the events – there will be five events in version 5.1. We are getting an extra event because it’s kind of a filler patch. The Sabzeruz Festival is coming back, and we will get a free copy of Candace during the main event, along with 1,000 primogems and some other rewards. Other than that, there will be four mini-events, including the Marvelous Merchandise event, and we can get around 2,610 primogems from the events.
From achievements, Xilonen’s story quest, character trials, redeem codes, and web events, we can get around 400 primogems. Paimon’s store will also refresh during the 5.1 update once, so you can exchange 5 Intertwined Fates worth 800 primogems using stardust.
Lastly, there will be the special program for version 5.2, and we will get three redeem codes worth 300 primogems. Speaking of special programs, Hoyoverse will host the special program for version 5.1 next Friday on the 27th of September, so don’t forget to watch it. Now, if we add up these numbers, we can get up to 10,735 primogems or 67 wishes in version 5.1 for Xilonen and the reruns.
