The 2013 Toyota Venza is part of a generation that started in 2009 and ended with the 2015 model year. When the 2013 Venza was new, it received updated exterior styling and an available Entune infotainment interface. A used 2013 Venza is a good value in the affordable midsize SUV class. It has a low price, respectable cargo space, a comfortable ride, and a high-reliability rating.
Unlike Toyota's three-row 4Runner, or even the big Highlander, the Venza makes absolutely no claim to the off-road trail. And while you can get third-row seating in both of those, the Venza only has two rows. It's more a Camry wagon, at a functional level. What that means is impressive space for five adults and a good amount of cargo space—as well as a near-ideal seating height that makes getting in and out especially easy.
The Venza comes in three trims: LE, XLE, and Limited. LE trim comes with basic features, like dual-zone automatic climate control and a six-speaker audio system. Venza XLE trim adds a power liftgate, a rearview camera, and leather seats. If you are looking for a larger 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system, go with Toyota Venza Limited.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave Venza four out of five stars in its frontal and rollover crash tests and five stars in its side crash test, for a five-star overall rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Venza the highest rating of Good in four crash tests and named it a 2013 Top Safety Pick. Some 2013 Venzas have a rearview camera.
