Details: Hey everyone, I’m now offering personalized coaching for anyone interested in getting to the next level with their instrument, or as an artist/band. It’s what I’ve been doing as a job for many decades and now want to open it up to the world.

Individual Guitar Coaching:
Besides my Youtube channel (The Art of Guitar), I’ve been teaching guitar since the mid-90’s. During that time I couldn’t help but cultivate the knowledge and skills to help any student improve and grow as musicians. Guitar Coaching is perfect for people looking to get past the roadblocks faced by all guitar students. Just upload a short video of your playing to Youtube (you can set it to ‘Unlisted’ so only I can see it) and I’ll watch it, take notes, and give you a personalized video response with my feedback, including identifying issues I see or hear that could be holding you back, how to fix these issues, as well as highlight the positive aspects of your playing that should further be developed. Knowing both your weaknesses AND strengths is powerful knowledge for any player. Please keep your video inquiries as short as possible (around the length of one song max), and not a Rush or Dream Theater song either. ;)

Band/Artist Coaching:
Due to my “Fix This Band” series on my Youtube Channel, I’ve been flooded with requests from bands asking for my help on how to improve their projects. Having played live for over three decades now, I’ve been through almost every scenario and learned (mostly the hard way) how to overcome the challenges of being in bands, as well as what it takes to go from the basement/garage, to the bars/clubs, and who knows, perhaps one day concert venues.
Having also done recording engineering and music producing over the years, I have the ability to quickly assess and offer experienced feedback that can prove valuable for moving forward in this difficult industry.
Upload a video of your band performing a song (be sure all instruments/voices are audible) to Youtube (set to ‘Unlisted’). I’ll watch your performance, take notes, and return a personalized video offering my opinion of any weaknesses, how I think they can be improved, as well as pointing out what I believe to be your strong points.

Coaching Fees:
-Individual Guitarists: $50 (25% discount if you’re an active The-Art-of-Guitar.com member)
**If I believe your video submission can be featured on my Youtube channel, and you agree to it, all fees will be waived.

-Band/Artist Coaching: $100 (25% discount if you’re an active The-Art-of-Guitar.com member)
**If I believe your video submission can be featured on my Youtube channel for the Fix This Band series, and you agree to it, all fees will be waived.

How to Begin:
Send an email to: [email protected]
In the email, include your name, link to your video, and a short explanation of what you hope to improve through this process. From there I’ll email you back to let you know that your email was received, as well as include details of any additional info needed, payment options, timeline for completion, etc.
*I’m offering this service for 30-days but may continue it depending on the response. Time’s pretty tight with creating lessons and videos for both my website and Youtube (as well as other side projects) but I’m curious to give it a try.
It’s surprising how an experienced set of eyes/ears can save you vasts amounts of time struggling on your own. This service is something I wish I had available back in the day. Looking forward to it. -Mike G. of (The Art of Guitar)
