Historical Roots of CBT
In an interview with Dr. Judith Beck, Dr. Aaron Beck discusses who influenced him in his development of CBT. Dr. Beck did not agree with the theory of psychoanalysis, but found Albert Ellis and George Kelly were researching and theorizing similarly to him. The information he gathered provided him with the structure to form his cognitive theory.
