The Cosmetic Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the mann race. They have greatly increased the game-customizability of those of us who play in “community” servers, but they have destabilized casual, have made choice unfulfilling, have subjected old players to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Scream Fortress to emotional suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural artstyle. The continued addition of unusuals will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject free-2-plays to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the visual design, it will probably lead to greater market disruption and economic profiting, and it may lead to increased quickswitch even in “advanced” loadouts.
