Winter came. But this is not a reason to give up hiking! I'm going into the forest to try out a saw and make a bushcraft chair. It gets dark early in winter, which means I'll need extra lighting. A good old kerosene lamp will help me with this.

In winter, the forest is especially beautiful - fluffy snow on spreading christmas trees, frozen reservoirs, fresh cool air. Today I will make a bushcraft chair. To do this, I will need three poles. Two strong ones for the base, taller than I am, and a shorter one across. It's good that the forest is pine - there are plenty of wind trees, all straight and long. The saw helps me to cope with the task very quickly, and also warms well! A few minutes and the poles are ready.

I lean the poles against the tree, securely fasten the rope. I take a tarpaulin 1 meter wide, put a cross pole in the middle and fold it in half. The upper part of the tarpaulin is gathered in a bun and tied with a rope to the poles. Voila! The chair is ready! It is very comfortable and stable to sit on it thanks to the lower pole and the correct height, due to the double layer, the seat turned out to be warm and soft, and it is pleasant to lean on the back.

It starts to get dark, I build a fire. When full darkness falls on the forest, I take out a kerosene lamp, how I wanted to try it out! The light from it is yellow, warm. It makes my little camp very comfortable. I'm going with it to get more wood and see if it can light up the way.

How is a hike without a hot and hearty meal? Today, for dinner it is fried mushrooms with pork, for garnish - boiled potatoes with dill. Everything is cooked in an army pot, it takes up little space and is very practical. I make myself comfortable in a hand-made chair and enjoy the delicious food, the winter forest and the campfire.
