Uramaki means inside out roll, which means the rice is on the outside giving it a unique variation to the usual sushi roll. This is ideal for sushi with fillings that consist of more than one ingredient, which means you can enjoy being creative with the filling!

You will need:
Avocado, cucumber, red pepper or other vegetables of your choice
Sakura zuke (optional pickled daikon)
Sushi Nori
Seasoned sushi rice
Sesame seeds (white, black or both)
Soy sauce
Wasabi
Sushi Ginger
Bamboo Sushi Rolling Mat

Instructions:
1. Cover bamboo mat with cling film.
2. Place horizontally on a surface.
3. Cut nori in half and place rough side up onto the mat.
4. Wet hands and spread seasoned sushi rice over the nori.
5. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the rice.
6. Flip rice & nori over carefully by folding over the other empty half of the mat, so the rice is now at the bottom.
7. Place fillings of your choice next to each other but try not to overfill.
8. Lift the closest edge of the bamboo mat and roll away from you.
9. Compress tightly and leave 1.5cm gap on the top edge.
10. Continue rolling and compress firmly
11. Wet a sharp knife and cut to pieces. (Wet knife between cuts.)
12. Enjoy with sushi ginger, wasabi & soy sauce.
