On the night of April the twenty first, local officials joined forces with soldiers, tourist and immigration police to raid a hotel in Thailand’s resort of Pattaya after receiving complaints from local residents claiming the hotel was being used for frequent "swinger parties". Twenty eight people were found naked and performing sexual acts. They included American, Cambodian, Canadian, Chinese, German, Indian, Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai and Ukrainian nationals. Police said people wanting attend the party signed up via a website. The admission fee was 1,500 baht per person. Hotel operator Xeng-chai Yang, 53, a Chinese national, was arrested for violating the Hotels Act.
