Notes on the noise test featured in this video:
1) The comparative final gain between signal paths was checked for parity using a sine wave generator prior to the test.
2) In both cases, a proportion of the noise heard will have originated from the Rode Video Mic Pro+ used for testing, as this really isn't the quietest mic in the world. However, it is the only mic I have with a 3.5mm jack connection necessary to plug straight into a Fuji XT3. It is the noticeable difference in noise that is of primary concern.
