Today I’m gonna show you how to change login URL of WordPress website. By default, in WordPress your login URL is yourdomainname.com/wp-login.php or you can also access it by going to yourdomainname.com/wp-admin. But, this URL should only be used only for administration purposes. So, it’s always better to hide login page from unwanted people by changing your login page URL. After watching this tutorial, you can customize the login URL to any URL you want.
First of all, you need to install a plugin called WPS Hide Login. Form the Login URL option, you can set the custom URL. And from the redirection URL option, you can set the redirect URL when someone goes to /wp-login.php or trying to access the dashboard by going to /wp-admin. Here, I set the redirect URL to 404 page.
You also have to be very careful about your username and password. Always try to keep them strong by making it more difficult. In this way, you can make your website more secure.
