It is no secret by now, Shawn Mendes appears to be looking lean, but not so mean, maintaining those young features. It turns out, he’s affecting those around him as well.


Former girlfriend Camila Ca-bay-o told BBC radio that before meeting Mendes, she didn’t really eat vegetables, except for carrots or a Caesar salad.

Pre-Exhaust And Strength
Since his workouts are tough, it simply isn’t enough to just enter the facility and get started. Mendes goes through several protocols, to get both his mind right and body warm. He’ll use several pre-exhaustion methods, including cardio.


Here’s what his trainer says about the long warmup routine:


“I’ve been training @shawnmendes for a while and one of the most important parts of our sessions is the warm-up‼️ • A good warm-up can take anywhere from 10-15 minutes and is used to get the body prepared for the work you are doing that day 💯💯💯 • Today I had a big deadlift day planned so we went through a bunch of movements (and the assault bike) to prep for that.”


The workouts aren’t easy, featuring a lot of super-sets and circuits, matched with a heavy lift at the start of the session.


Not only is Mendes’ cardio on point, but he’s also thriving when it comes to fast-twitch bodyweight movements like a crazy standing squat from a seated position on the floor! His own trainer was blown away by easily he caught on to the movement – even the toughest gym rats can struggle with that movement.


The guy is an athlete in the gym!


Of course, he must keep strong discipline out of the gym as well, he loves keeping active and going for walks. However, his diet might surprise most, as it doesn’t feature some trendy no-carb diet. instead, it’s just the opposite.
