Behind The Design—Backcountry x NST Freeride Kit
When the Natural Selection Tour reached out to us about building the perfect on-snow kit for utility and event setup, we knew we it was a huge opportunity. From dialing in the course, to managing snow safety, and shredding pow, this kit does it all. Our product designers engineered the jacket and bibs with a loose, freeride fit for freedom of motion and a pack-friendly pocket layout to keep us organized.
The non-insulated shell design lets us adjust our warmth level throughout the day by adding and shedding midlayers. The 3L Drytex membrane keeps us bone-dry even during heavy snowfall, and the stretchy face fabric allows for all kinds of freeride maneuvers.
