Hear from former marketing and communication intern, Nate Hoffman, about how the people around me thought about the internship and the skills that Tech With Heart helped me sharpen while participating in the minority student internship program through the Tech With Heart Foundation:
"So around, my friend group and even like my family, most of them, they don't really have internship positions and then they see how I have taken this position and I, and I've told them about my responsibilities and again, they kind of see as like, a role model way, but also in a way that they could do it too. So it just empowers one of another's kind of, kind of like iron sharpens iron. My family, they're not, they, they never really had like an internship like this, so they're really proud of me and I believe, and everyone could do it again, it's kind of going back to I'm saying just being a go getter and you see that you just have to put yourself out there and trying to do that position. I feel like just applying to somewhere or just having an organization like the Tech With Heart Foundation opened up job positions for strictly minority groups shows that, that no matter what you could do it, you just have to put yourself out there."
